About Me

I’m a storyteller, first and foremost. I began my career in book publishing, working as a rights manager for the country’s largest independent book publisher. I negotiated deals with Hallmark, Junior Library Guild, Audible, Children’s Book of the Month Club, among others, and placed excerpts in outlets including Vanity Fair, PEOPLE, Scientific American, and Wall Street Journal.

I started freelance writing and editing while in graduate school. I have worked for agencies and with many different companies across various sectors. I have created content strategies for internationally-recognized brands, written over 350 articles, and edited more than 250 law transcripts up to 20,000 words each. In addition to leading content marketing for a digital mental health company, I currently write a monthly newsletter for a healthcare startup, ghostwrite thought leadership articles, and produce long-form content (ex. white papers, case studies, guides) for health and mental health brands.

I am extremely passionate about health and mental health issues, and have written extensively on alcohol and substance use, ADHD, perinatal mental health conditions, social drivers of health, healthcare technology, and other prevalent topics. I have published articles in Verywell Mind, InHerSight, Rewire.org (PBS), The Temper, Insider, South Bend Tribune, and have ghostwritten articles in Business Insider, Psychology Today, Modern Healthcare, Fast Company, and Forbes, among others.

I received a BA in English Writing & Literature from Saint Mary’s College (IN) and an MFA in Creative Writing with a concentration in fiction from Lesley University (MA). I have taught fiction, non-fiction, and business writing on the East Coast, in Canada, and in the Midwest and have attended two residencies (Gullkistan in Iceland and Good Hart in Northern Michigan). My fiction, non-fiction, and poetry has been published in The Juggler, Narrative Northeast, Chimes, The Avenue, Santa Clara Review, and Sonora Review.
